ASUS stands out as the company who started this whole entire minilaptop fad where the idea is to have small laptops under 12 inches wide that are fitted with fundamental specifications but nonetheless capable of doing basic tasks including browsing the net, delivering and receiving email messages, as well as operating office programs. They cost a smaller amount as compared to other midrange notebooks sized A COUPLE OF inches larger, are lightweght and also have above average battery life because of being more basic. However, these notebook computers are often sluggish in overall performance limiting the use of multitasking particularly when they are running on Windows 7. The ASUS 1201N tried to make a difference by incorporating quicker equipment but ended up suffering in the battery life. At present its successor which is the Asus EEE PC 1215N notebook hopes to make a difference by combining value, portability, and performance.
