The new Desktop MK320 by Logitech comprises of a wireless, ergonomically designed keyboard and a wireless mouse, the perfect solution if you want to go cordless. You get both a travel-ready wireless mouse and a regular sized keyboard, both featuring a solid wireless connection. Setting up the mouse and keyboard is a snap. Getting your new keyboard and mouse set out of its packaging is more difficult than setting them up. The keyboard and mouse work seamlessly with Windows 7, Vista, XP and all Windows based computers, and are immediately recognized by your computer. There shouldn’t be any evident time lag on plug-in.

The keyboard features all the standard keys, as well as keys for a couple of additional shortcuts. There’s a key that enables switching between your home page and email together with music shortcuts and any other running applications you may have. The keyboard also has a couple of special function keys, such as locking the laptop or desktop and shutting it down. The keyboard is spill proof, although you shouldn’tmustn’t try to prove it. The wireless mouse is as big as those of almost all average size notebooks. It works okay with either hand, and has well designed left and right buttons, as well as a scrolling wheel. The receiver snaps onto the mouse precisely above where the ON/OFF switch is located.

You’ll find the mouse’s battery bay cover at the bottom of the mouse. Since this combo is created more to be used with a laptop computer than a desktop PC, the mouse doesn’t come with the page front and back buttons. Battery life is great, with the keyboard having a battery life of 15 months and 5 for the mouse. Naturally, battery life varies with usage. And, one should never place too much stock in the life of the batteries included with the package. A battery life indicator can be found on the mouse but not on the keyboard.

You can use the keyboard, while seated on your sofa, to control videos that you’re watching on your big flatscreen, while your laptop computer sits on your desk.

A number of the advantages of the Logitech Wireless Desktop MK320 are the superb battery life, convenient shortcuts, the spill-proof keyboard, as well as the way the receiver snaps into the bottom of the mouse. One more is that the battery cover of the wireless mouse is super secure. There’s no way it’s going to just fall off – you must spring the release. One small disadvantage is the fact that the batteries aren’t rechargeable. Also, the keyboard doesn’t have a battery life indicator and forward/back buttons on the mouse.

The Desktop MK320 by Logitech will work well with desktop computers, but even better with laptop computers, for which it is specifically developed. Its quality performance and convenience make the Logitech Wireless Desktop MK320 a a great buy, with its relatively affordable price.
